THE BRIEF
The clients, a retired couple, wanted Baruchi to design a streamlined kitchen area with informal seating for afternoon tea. They also wanted a sophisticated color palette and some elements of an Informal Farmhouse Kitchen.
THE DESIGN
For the Cabinetry, Baruchi specified cashmere-colored cabinetry. To ensure continuity, we specifically included an integrated fridge and freezer – hidden behind this finish. To provide a reflective surface and to compliment the cashmere, we choose stainless steel appliances, faucet, and handles for the cabinetry.
For storage, we specific two wide larder units with pull-out drawers for easy access. This gave the couple ample storage for all their cooking and baking. And the island housed a farmhouse-style sink, an integrated bin, and two dishwashers for maximum utility.
Lastly, we also chose bifold doors in an elegant dark stainless steel grey so as to enjoy the sun during the summer months.
THE INSPIRATION
THE FINAL OUTCOME
FARMHOUSE TOUCHES
Firstly, the cashmere cabinetry coloring and the deep farmhouse sink sold the Informal Farmhouse Kitchen fantasy. And we made sure to keep the continuity with hidden appliances.
Hear our client’s thoughts:
“I have had a brilliant experience working with Claudia and couldn’t recommend her more. After struggling with two other designers who spent countless hours measuring and developing expensive briefs but not getting far, I found a perfect match in Claudia. She understood our vision intuitively, and within three weeks we had the kitchen designed and signed off.
What I enjoy most about Claudia is her brilliant project management. She is utterly organized, responds within minutes, and is encouraging but not pushy.
If you are looking for an enjoyable, low-stress, productive experience designing your home then Claudia is it!” Mr & Mrs E Wells
