THE BRIEF
The client had a young family with three children. They wanted to create a modern sophisticated kitchen with the use of raw materials in this large home.
THE DESIGN
Having recently purchased their new home, the client embarked on a whole kitchen remodeling project. Through collaboration between Baruchi and the client’s contractors, a frame was designed and manufactured for the tall unit.
The feature of this kitchen is the island – with its minimal look and its marble-mimicking quartz with an overhang allowing hidden seating for three. Lighting was enhanced by three beautiful glass pendant lights over the island.
We used light wood veneer for the tall units- while light, the texture brought warmth to the kitchen. As a splashback, we used stainless steel – as a raw material it brought added to the uniqueness of this kitchen. The stainless steel was eloquently layered on the original brickwork of the house. To continue with the stainless steel influence we installed a stainless sink and gas hob. The high-level oven, microwave, and warming drawer all used glass and stainless steel materials. We also incorporated a small wine cooler on the island for those long summer nights.
Overall, the result is light and a spacious, modern sophisticated kitchen space.

THE FINAL OUTCOME
LIGHT WOOD VENEER
Initially, a light veneer really spoke to our clients. So, we used it to tie the room together and add warmth through a natural finish. Overall, this added to the minimal feel.
MARBLE LOOK COUNTERTOP
First, we needed that marble-look quartz to shine. And so we featured it in the stunning kitchen island. Next, we added pendant lighting. Overall, this lighting accentuated the space in a functional way.
